Hello,  My name is Sharon Gilmore.  I am the General Manager and LPGA teaching professional at Turnbull Bay Golf Club.  On behalf of Classic Golf Management Company,  and the staff at Turnbull Bay,  it is my pleasure to welcome you, and your family and friends to our golf club.  We are committed to making your entire golfing experience a pleasurable one.

 

Turnbull Bay Golf Club is a full service golf facility.  Our golf course is nestled amongst native Florida vegetation and terrain.  Each hole is boarded by either rows of oak, pine, and palm trees , or beautiful lakes .  Our tee boxes and rolling fairways are bermuda, and our greens are surfaced with Paspalum Sea Isle Supreme salt grass.  This salt grass surface makes our greens amongst  the best in Volusa County. They are very tolerant of extreme  weather conditions, weeds and pests. We do not over-seed in the fall and the aeration and top-dressing procedure is not done as often or as heavily .  This makes our course much easier to maintain.  The days of having to shut down due to golf course maintenance are behind us. We have four sets of tee boxes to play from.   At its longest point our course is 6,429 yards.  So, whatever level of player you are, our course will set up to be as challenging as is desired.  Our practice  putting green and all grass driving range is open seven days a week  from the hours of 7:00 am until 6:00 P.M.

 

Our pro-shop and snack bar employees as well as our cart  attendants are well equipped and prepared to provide exceptional service.  We carry top of the line golf merchandise and have the resources necessary to repair equipment or special order at the customers request.   Our snack-bar area is staffed with friendly , helpful employees that are always ready to prepare a fresh sandwich and pour a cold refreshing drink.  If you tee it up early, we have a hot cup of coffee and a breakfast sandwich available.   If you come in to see us after your round, we have a variety of cold drinks and beer to cool you off.  Before and after your round you will be taken care of by our cart attendants who will clean your clubs, answer your questions, and get you to the tee on time.

 

Turnbull Bay Golf Club is a daily fee facility, but we do offer a variety of memberships.  Currently we have the following options;  1)   Single and Family Annual memberships, 2) a monthly summer play pass,  3)  Corporate business  memberships ,  and coming this Fall we will be offering  4) winter monthly memberships for those players who visit in the winter but are here for only a few months.  For more detailed membership information please call me to make an appointment.  I will be more than happy to answer your questions and discuss your options.

 

 As the General manager of the golf course I am responsible for a variety of tasks.  However, that does not inhibit my desire,  or passion  for teaching.  On the contrary .  Now, because I  spend more time  initiating, delegating and following up on daily operational procedures,  I very much  look forward to and  cherish those hours that I spend out on the range  with my students.   My fees are $30.00 for a half hour, $60.00 for an hour and if you buy a package of four, you get the fifth lesson free.  I hold clinics weekly and they cost $15.00 per student per clinic.  9-hole play lessons are available and cost $75.00.  I also offer  one, two, or three day  customized golf schools.  The cost to be determined based on the number of players,  the number of days of instruction, and the fees associated with any additional requests.  My goal as an instructor is, to always provide a safe and comfortable learning environment.  I try to excite, encourage, and empower students to recognize and embrace their own potential.  I introduce skills, technique and drills that are easy to accomplish and remember.   I have always enjoyed playing the game of golf and it is an honor and pleasure to help others to do the same.  If you have any questions please feel free to call me at 386-689-1948.  Or, send me an e-mail at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
